EinfachMachen Portal for Reducing Bureaucracy
On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and State Modernization (BMDS), we have developed the website for the new portal. Starting now, citizens, businesses, and other stakeholders can report bureaucratic hurdles directly online to help improve processes.
Bureaucracy hinders innovation and efficiency. Often, the burden lies in the details: a form, a piece of documentation, an unclear procedure. This is exactly where the EinfachMachen portal comes in: as a central point of contact at the federal level to identify bureaucratic bottlenecks and use this information to create a solid foundation for setting priorities and streamlining processes. The new portal is one of many projects in the Modernization Agenda, through which the federal government aims to modernize decisions, processes, and structures in public administration.
The EinfachMachen portal directly collects reports, for example regarding complex forms, long processing times, or a lack of digital services. Aggregated and classified data quickly and easily highlights bureaucratic hurdles for administrative staff and helps set priorities for addressing them.
Project success thanks to comprehensive services
The project team developed the EinfachMachen portal website based on GSB 11 in close collaboration with the Minister for Digital Affairs and the relevant state secretaries. Our end-to-end approach enabled implementation within a very short timeframe from a single source: from the conception and development of a shared vision and the design based on GSB 11, through UX design, front-end development, and content creation, all the way to quality control and the production of an explanatory video.
Effective immediately, the portal makes a lasting contribution to building trust in public administration and strengthens democratic participation. The result: greater transparency, greater confidence in decision-making, and the opportunity to set standards for a sustainable administration.
