]init[ and HBSN merge A Complete Range of Services for Digital Transformation in Healthcare, All from a Single Source

As of today, ]init[ AG for Digital Communication and HBSN GmbH have merged into a single company. With this entry in the commercial register, the integration of HBSN GmbH – which was fully acquired in January 2025 – is legally complete. The approximately 500 active clients in the healthcare sector will be served by a single organization under the unified ]init[ brand going forward.

The newly restructured company combines over 30 years of experience in the digital transformation of the public sector with deep industry expertise in healthcare. With more than 1,400 experts at eight locations in Germany, ]init[ serves clients in public administration, the private sector, and the healthcare sector, including public and private health insurers, hospitals, and medical care centers, as well as public health services, medical services, and other public health institutions.

Fully Integrated Service Chain for Clients in the Healthcare Sector

Healthcare clients are increasingly seeking comprehensive digitalization services from a single source, as Harald Felling, Chief Executive Officer of ]init[ AG, explains: “The digital challenges facing the healthcare sector are becoming more complex and require end-to-end solutions – from consulting and software development to secure operations. That is exactly what we offer at ]init[ – and, combined with our in-depth expertise in the healthcare industry, we can create real added value for our customers.”

In addition to the full range of digitalization expertise under one roof, Dr. Eckart Pech, Chief Business Officer Health at ]init[ AG, sees a strong user- and practice-oriented perspective as crucial for successful digitalization in healthcare: “With our industry experience and digitalization expertise, we at ]init[ aim to help drive the digital transformation of the healthcare system. Because every hour lost in outdated systems, every unnecessary click, and every insecure platform costs energy and trust – and ultimately comes at the expense of patient care.”

Continuity and New Skills for Digital Transformation in Healthcare

With this merger, ]init[ has laid the groundwork to serve as a reliable partner for complex digitalization projects for all stakeholders in the healthcare sector. Existing customers benefit from continuity: The approximately 150 employees of the former HBSN will continue their work on ongoing projects. At the same time, all former HBSN customers gain access to ]init[’s additional expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, data platforms, UX and portal expertise, IT security, and cloud services. The company’s new scale also enables faster implementation, greater flexibility, and enhanced security for complex large-scale IT projects.
