]init[ appoints Dr. Axel Kaufmann as Chief Financial Officer

With Dr. Axel Kaufmann, ]init[ is bringing an experienced financial expert on board. The Supervisory Board has appointed him Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Board, effective April 1, 2023.

As a leading IT service provider for end-to-end digitalization, ]init[ has more than tripled its revenue over the past three years, from €58 million in 2019 to over €182 million in 2022. Drawing on his many years of industry experience, Dr. Axel Kaufmann will help shape the company’s future expansion strategy.

A graduate in business administration, he has 25 years of experience in finance, half of which he spent as an executive board member at S-DAX and M-DAX companies or family-run, medium-sized enterprises. Before joining ]init[, he was in charge of the commercial division at the construction software group Nemetschek SE. Prior to that, he served as CFO of Rational AG and Koenig & Bauer AG, and was responsible for Controlling, Accounting, and Risk at Nokia Networks. At Siemens, as CFO, he led a shared services unit in the U.S. and a global software business unit.

Dr. Axel Kaufmann is an excellent addition to our leadership team. With his entrepreneurial expertise, his experience in the software and IT services industry, and his proven track record as a CFO, he will play a key role in helping us continue the strong growth we have seen in recent years. The newly created Executive Board division encompasses all areas and organizational units related to Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Procurement, and Central Services. These areas were previously overseen by Executive Director Julia Klein, who, following the successful launch of the new division, will take on and lead new strategic initiatives aimed at further developing ]init[ in line with the i25 corporate strategy.
