]init[ DIALOG BOX: Software-as-a-Service for participatory projects

Many project-related questions can only be answered by involving citizens and stakeholders. The DIALOG BOX offers public agencies and organizations a wide range of participation modules that can be customized to suit their needs. It is easy to use, efficient, and cloud-based.

Where should the new business center be located? What should be included in the climate protection plan? And what do volunteers actually need to stay engaged in the long term? The DIALOG BOX ensures that all key players and stakeholders are heard on essential issues. This leads to better projects and greater satisfaction among citizens – because shared expertise creates new opportunities.

With success: The DIALOG BOX has already been used effectively in over 130 digital, multi-stage participatory processes.

Engagement tools for successful projects

  • Ideas Platform

Users can submit ideas, which must receive a certain number of endorsements within a specified time frame. Similar to traditional petitions, this process identifies the proposals that receive the most support from the target audience.

  • Idea Module

Creative, organized, successful: The Idea Module lets you map individual ideas onto a map or organize them into categories to help structure your thinking and use brainstorming sessions to drive real progress.

  • List of Projects

Let your target audience know about the municipal projects you have planned – early on and always up to date. With clear project profiles, categories, and a status indicator for projects or initiatives, you can ensure maximum transparency.

  • Survey

DIALOG BOX offers a versatile survey module: Gauge sentiment using matrix, open-ended, single-choice, and multiple-choice questions; let users choose between different images; and add custom content pages.

  • Text annotation

Documents can be divided into individual chapters and sections and shared with users for review and feedback. To make things easier to follow, comments can also be organized into categories.

  • Event planning tool

Events held as part of projects can be posted directly to DIALOG BOX. This allows users to view all events clearly in the calendar view and register to attend directly.

  • Defect Reporter

The issue reporting tool makes it easy for residents to get involved in maintaining their city. All you need is a smartphone to quickly and easily report problems and mark their locations on a map.

  • Blog

Keep your users informed about new developments in your engagement projects: On the blog, you can publish the latest news, have it automatically displayed on the homepage, and allow users to comment on and rate it.

  • External procedure

Participation processes from external platforms can also be integrated. A link in the "External Process" module redirects users directly to the participation platform.

A robust infrastructure for impactful community projects

DIALOG BOX offers a reliable, high-performance infrastructure for the seamless implementation of dialogue or engagement projects – easy to use, even without IT expertise, thanks to comprehensive support from our experts. The software is also cloud-native and runs in a Kubernetes-based environment on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU Central Availability Zone at the Frankfurt am Main location.

As SaaS engagement software, it is modularly structured according to the building-block principle and offers various modules that are available to users at any time and can be used individually. Beyond the use of the DIALOG BOX, we provide consulting support for our clients’ engagement processes, contribute our expertise in process design, facilitate discussions, evaluate results, and handle project management.
