Digital Solutions for a Strong Public Health System
Public health departments are a cornerstone of our healthcare system. The digital transformation of public health services is key to strengthening the resilience of our healthcare system. Together with our digital health specialists at HBSN and xitee, we are driving this transformation forward.
Analog processes in the healthcare sector take time – time that can save lives in an emergency. Digitalization makes public health agencies faster, more efficient, and more resilient. It enables the secure exchange of data, reduces administrative burdens, and creates transparency. A key strategic element through the end of 2026: the Pact for Public Health Services. This federal funding program is driving the transformation of public health services so that they are better equipped to handle future crises and challenges.
Comprehensive Digitalization for Public Health Services
Together with HBSN and xitee, we support public health departments across the eight dimensions of the BMG maturity model: from digitalization strategy and change management to process design and IT deployment, all the way through to IT security, UX design, and interoperability. This results in secure, user-friendly systems that streamline processes, minimize downtime, and protect data. For citizens, this means faster services, transparent communication, and reliable health protection.
ÖGDigital: Leading Software for Public Health Departments
Our scalable and multi-client-capable specialized application, ÖGDigital, is being developed in collaboration with the public health departments in Baden-Württemberg and is intended to become part of the planned cross-state, unified digital ecosystem for public health services in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. ÖGDigital covers nearly the entire range of tasks: from hygiene monitoring and health assessments to pre-school medical examinations. Cross-module services such as a central facility directory, address validation, document generator, task and appointment management, and checklists standardize and simplify processes digitally.
The unified water management application for public health departments in Bavaria and Thuringia (WAFA) is also being developed based on the water hygiene module in ÖGDigital.
With its offline capabilities and a BI platform for data analysis and reporting, ÖGDigital is a flexible, future-proof solution that boosts efficiency in government offices and improves the quality of service for citizens. It also meets the highest standards for data protection and information security.
With ÖGDigital and our comprehensive portfolio, we are laying the groundwork for a strong, sustainable public health service. In this way, digitalization becomes a catalyst for better health protection and greater trust in public healthcare.
Join us in shaping the digital society of tomorrow!
