www.bmwi.de relies on Next Generation Technologies

Since beginning of May the internet portal of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology  (German abbr. BMWi) www.bmwi.de presents itself with comprehensive adaptations to the screen design of the homepage and in the technical backend.]init[ AG for digital communication implemented the changes for the Federal Ministry.

So, from now on the visitors of the website are able to inform themselves even more clearly and user-friendly about the latest economy and technology policy issues. To this aim a new central service area was released, besides the functionally refreshed layout of the homepage, which makes all important contents and website services accessible at any time.

A further highlight is the now integrated Google Search Appliance. The innovative search technology with its many features makes it easy to search through over 60,000 documents of the main presence and many theme websites displaying precise and easy to refine results in a fraction of the before required time.

State-of-the-art technology stands also behind the www.bmwi.de: all contents and applications of the system of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology were migrated to the latest CoreMedia CMS Version 5.2 (CMS2008). About 40 online editors of the department benefit during their day-to-day work from the easiest to the most efficient editorial workflows.
