The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) released its completely revised Internet portal www.bfr.bund.de for health-related consumer protection at the end of March. The ]init[ interface designers implemented the complete redesign of the extremely complex range of information.

The BfR’s Internet pages now have a fresher, lighter and more clearly structured appearance, thanks to more targeted, colorful accents and generously designed modules. The completely revised navigation is now also better aligned to the information requirements of the various target groups.

]init[ usability consultants accompanied the entire concept and design process for a convincing visual interpretation of the BfR in the Internet, taking into consideration the latest usability expertise. The results of multi-level testing with test subjects on-the-fly were also incorporated into the ongoing portal development.

]init[ also supported the online editorial staff at the BfR in reorganizing the contents of the portal and creating the infographics.
