DAkkS - Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH – the German Accreditation Body founded on January 1st of 2010 launched its online presentation with the information portal www.dakks.de. The company supported by the Federal Government and the Federation of German Industry (Bund der deutschen Industrie e.V. German abbr. BDI) – assumes as the only national accreditation body the state approval for more than 4,000 conformity assessment bodies in Germany. www.dakks.de was launched in order that citizens and also representatives of economy and media are able to easily and quickly inform themselves about the task, structure and activity of the new private-public accreditation body. The linked extranet enables specified user groups to exchange expertise and documents.
