The Federal Government launches a media center on its website. From now on, at www.bundesregierung.de/mediathek all videos, podcasts, audios, and photo series of the governmental website are bundled in a central multimedia application.

With this project the strongly increased significance of multimedia formats for the internet communication of the Federal Government is taken into account. So, the media center presents for example the weekly podcasts of the Federal Chancellor, live-streaming recordings of press conferences in the Federal Chancellery and especially produced video features regarding the latest government topics.

The homepage of the media center provides a quick glance at the new contents. The user can directly arrange the media documents according to format (video, audio, photo), up-to-dateness and topics or can perform a targeted keyword research. Besides the classic list view the user can choose an interactive CoverFlow display in order to create the search intuitively.
