]init[ has reworked and improved the intranet of the Structure and License Authority North of the state Rhineland-Palatinate (SGD Nord) with Microsoft SharePoint 2010. About 500 employees have access to the new system.

With Microsoft SharePoint 2010 SGD Nord chose a technical basis which makes it much easier for editors to publish news, regulations, and documents from specialist departments. Employees, who would like to book a company car or to apply for a rail ticket, can handle this directly from their work station – thanks to new licensing processes managed by a workflow sequence by Microsoft SharePoint 2010.

With the advanced CMS technology of Microsoft the authority paved the way for a modern, forward-looking workplace. It is planned to develop the intranet to a full-fledged employee portal with collaboration features, integrated business applications and customizable contents.
