The German Cancer Research Center (German abbr. DKFZ) released its new intranet. The service portal provides all relevant information for 2.600 employees constituting the central knowledge base for internal procedures, documents, forms and information.

The new intranet is based on a Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server and provides besides the information also features for the cooperation of different DKFZ departments. All previously divided systems are now centrally accessible so that the working day of the employees is made significantly easier: whether travel expenses accounting, the use and provision of IT systems, or expert applications, from now on, all procedures are accessible through one central point.
