At the Federal Office of Hydrology (BfG) in Koblenz relevant data merges into central water information systems, for example in the context of the EU guidelines for drinking water quality and flood water risk management. Up to the present reportable authorities transfer these data via manual upload on the BfG portal “WasserBLIcK”.

This procedure has now been complemented by “GeoService”, a business application for automated data exchange without media breaks developed by ]init[. Thanks to “GeoService” the relevant data can be directly retrieved via file exchange or standardized geo interfaces from the data sources of the federal states to be further processed to the information systems of the BfG.
