EU-DLR in Lower Saxony
The State of Lower Saxony has launched its new service provider portal on the 21st of December. The portal was ceremonially presented to the public in the presence of Dr. Lahmann, CIO of the State of Lower Saxony and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics, Employment and Transportation of Lower Saxony, Dr. Liersch.
The State of Lower Saxony meets with this portal as one of the first states the EU Directive on Services in the Internal Market (German abbr. EU-DLR). A Europe-wide application for company settlements is possible from now through www.dienstleisterportal.niedersachsen.de: the companies from the EU and Germany can conclude many administrative procedures online. Central contact persons of the State of Lower Saxony are available for the coordination of these needs.
In order to implement the portal the participation of the state, the local authorities, the associations of local authorities, chambers and the companies involved in the implementation was required. Due to an excellent cooperation the project was completed in time as planned before the turn of the year, despite all permanently changing framework conditions.
