The Press and Information Office of the German Federal Government (German abbr. BPA) starts an own microsite on the occasion of the NATO summit in Strasbourg and Kehl (Germany) at the beginning of April. The Federal Government uses the website to provide information about advance notice, attendance and follow-up of the summit meeting organized by France and Germany.

A new online format operates in the background of the informative site. It was developed by ]init[ for the needs of the internet communication of the BPA. It provides the communicative attendance of independent topic-dossiers and meetings allowing an implementation within a short time. The microsite connects a compact treatment of the topic with multimedia contents. So the microsite concerning the NATO summit provides information in three languages, interactive photo series, videos and a download area for press photos.

Besides the NATO summit, the newly developed format of the microsite is already applied for the topic Sustainability Dialogue. Also in the future, dossiers of the Federal Government will be provided as independent microsites.
